About
Alexandra Chen is a prolific angel investor with a portfolio spanning 40+ early-stage startups across fintech, enterprise SaaS, and AI. As the former CTO and co-founder of DataSync (acquired by Salesforce for $180M in 2019), she brings deep technical expertise and operational experience to the founders she backs.
Based in San Francisco, Alexandra writes checks of $25K-$100K and typically participates in pre-seed and seed rounds. Her investment thesis centers on technical founders building category-defining B2B products with defensible technology moats. She has a particular interest in infrastructure tools, developer platforms, and applied AI solutions.
Alexandra's hands-on approach includes monthly office hours with portfolio companies, introductions to her extensive network of enterprise buyers, and tactical advice on product-market fit and go-to-market strategy. Three of her portfolio companies have gone on to raise Series A rounds from top-tier VCs including Andreessen Horowitz, Sequoia, and Accel.
Notable investments include: CloudMetrics (Series B, $45M raised), DevOps.io (acquired by GitHub), and FinanceAI (Series A, $12M raised). She serves on the board of the Stanford Angels network and is a frequent speaker at SaaStr and TechCrunch Disrupt.
Alexandra holds a BS in Computer Science from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard Business School. When not reviewing pitch decks, she mentors underrepresented founders through the All Raise Founder Bootcamp.
